The Layers tab in the Workspace Properties window allows you to configure default behaviour and global settings for layers in the workspace. These settings affect how new layers are created, how they behave on load, and how they transition in and out of view.
Layer Defaults
-
Enabled
Toggles whether newly created layers are enabled by default. Disabled layers remain in the workspace but are not visible until manually enabled. -
Auto Play
Determines whether media based layers (e.g. videos, audio) should automatically begin playback when first added to the workspace. -
Volume
Sets the default playback volume for media layers. This can be adjusted later on a per layer basis. -
Webview Zoom
Defines the default zoom level for WebView layers. Useful on very high resolution canvas systems -
True Perspective Quality
Controls the default rendering quality for layers using True Perspective
Layer Fade
-
Fade On Enabled
When enabled, layers fade in smoothly when switched from disabled to enabled. -
Fade On Add
When enabled, newly added layers fade into view instead of appearing instantly. -
Fade Duration
Sets the duration (in seconds) of fade effects.
Additional Options
-
Mute Hidden Layers
When enabled, layers that are hidden or disabled are automatically muted. This prevents background audio playback from layers not currently visible in the workspace.
