DirectShow is the Windows framework used for capturing video from compatible devices. Many commonly used cameras and USB capture cards (HDMI/SDI capture dongles) provide a DirectShow driver. When a device supports this driver type, Igloo Core Engine can access it directly through the DirectShow layer to display the live feed.

Opens a dropdown of all DirectShow video capture devices detected by Windows.

Pick the native resolution of your input
FPS

Choose the frame rate that matches your source to minimize frame drops and latency.
Notes

Match source mode: Set resolution/FPS to the actual input signal. Mismatches can cause frame drops.

Audio capture - not currently supported

Multi‑app access: Many devices are single access under DirectShow. Use capture the device in Igloo Core Engine only.
